Keyboard Tester — Test Every Key on Your Keyboard
Having trouble with a specific key? Our Keyboard Tester allows you to verify every key on your keyboard in real-time. Simply press a key, and it will light up on our virtual layout. It's the perfect tool for troubleshooting hardware issues, testing a new mechanical keyboard, or checking for key ghosting.

Compatibility Note
Some special keys (like Fn, Eject, or brightness controls) may not be capturable by the browser. Media keys and volume controls may or may not register depending on your OS and browser settings.
How to Use
- Click anywhere on the page to ensure the window has focus.
- Press any key on your physical keyboard.
- The corresponding key on the virtual keyboard will turn blue while pressed.
- Working keys will remain highlighted in green after they are released.
- Check the 'Live Info' section for detailed technical data about each key press.
- Use the 'Reset Board' button to clear all highlights and start fresh.
Stuck Key Detection
If a key stays blue on the virtual layout even when you aren't touching it, that key is likely 'stuck' or mechanically failing.
Anti-Ghosting Test
Try pressing multiple keys at once (like W, A, S, D, and Shift). If some keys don't register, your keyboard may have a low 'rollover' limit.
Browser Limitations
Web browsers cannot capture 100% of keys. For example, the 'Fn' key on laptops is usually handled by hardware and never reaches the browser.
